Thanos Vallianatos came into close contact with the special bee world in 2006. He soon realized that his love for nature and this fabulous insect and the miracle of life it is producing, would lead him to new paths in his professional life. ..

What started as a hobby was soon changed into something else, when Thanos left the financial sector where he was working at the time. He began seminars at the Institute of Agricultural Sciences, went to villages, talked to beekeepers, read articles about the incredible, unique bee society. He tasted countless types of honey from almost all areas of Greece and abroad, traveled in a lot of places, talked to nutritionists and food chemists, wishing to obtain as much information as he could about beekeeping, before deciding to engage him seriously with it.

He created his own beekeeping unit, established a place for packing and bottling his honey, set up a commercial sales network, and decided to deal with other beekeeping products.

Wishing to promote his products in the best way, Thanos chose the brand name "Meliteia Gi". These products can now be found in selected stores of traditional and organic products, delicatessens, etc.

Recently, a new member was added to the company, Elias Vagenas, who left his job at the music sector, wishing to be engaged in beekeeping.

With faith and insistence on top quality honey, Thanos and Elias continue to produce bee products with the same enthusiasm as they did at the beginning of their project.
